Editorial Policy
ClinicalInvestor publishes general educational content for readers interested in biotech investing, clinical trial interpretation, and catalyst-driven market events. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner, accountant, or attorney, and nothing on this site is personalized advice.
What we publish
We publish three kinds of content:
- Frameworks — how to think about risk, catalysts, dilution, cash runway, trial design, and FDA process.
- Comparisons — neutral side-by-side comparisons of companies, setups, or investing tools. We avoid “best pick” framing in favor of “what to watch” and “what to verify.”
- Explainers — clear explanations of concepts that affect biotech investors (PDUFA dates, endpoints, dilution, accelerated approval, cash runway, trial readouts).
What we do not publish
- Personalized investment advice for any individual reader.
- Tax advice. (Talk to a CPA in your state.)
- Legal advice. (Talk to an attorney in your jurisdiction.)
- Specific securities recommendations, target prices, or implied returns.
- Endorsements without disclosed material connections. See our disclosures.
Sourcing
We cite primary sources where possible — SEC filings, ClinicalTrials.gov records, FDA documents, earnings materials, investor presentations, and peer-reviewed literature. When we cite a secondary source, we link to it directly.
Author qualifications
Every article includes a visible byline with the author’s credentials, published date, and last-reviewed date. Author qualifications are described on each author’s bio page. We do not use anonymous “Editorial Team” bylines for biotech or financial analysis content.
Review and updates
Articles touching tax law, regulatory matters, or fast-moving areas (e.g., student-loan policy) are reviewed at least annually. The most recent review date appears under the byline on every article. If you spot something that looks out of date, email editorial@clinicalinvestor.com.
Affiliate links and material connections
Affiliate links are clearly tagged with “(affiliate)” adjacent to the link, and pages with affiliate content carry a prominent disclosure block near the first affiliate link. See the full list of relationships on our disclosures page.
Corrections
We correct factual errors as soon as we are aware of them. Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article along with the date and a brief description of what changed.
